Saint Jean de Maurienne - 2021

Writer's picture: Davide DimacDavide Dimac

Cycling tour from Grugliasco to Saint Jean de Maurienne.

Two-days cycling tour with bikepacking: first day outward journey, overnight stay in Saint Jean de Maurienne and return the following day.

Very hot weekend, the first of the year to feel completely like summer. At Plan des Fontainettes unfortunately both the fountain and the toilets were closed. So it was necessary to take a small bottle of water at the restaurant.

During the first day, once down in the French valley, found a very strong headwind from Lanslebourg until arriving in Saint Jean de Maurienne. It was very difficult to proceed and unfortunately it was necessary to consume all the energy left very quickly.
