Prali - 2021

Writer's picture: Davide DimacDavide Dimac

Cycling tour from Grugliasco to Prali. Sunny and warm day, cloudy only in the mountain section of the tour.

Arrived in Pinerolo without any problems. Not many people around on Sunday, although there was a street-market with stalls in the centre of town. Resumed the road towards Villar Perosa and then Perosa Argentina, with a section of ups and downs. The weather started to be a little bit cloudy.

From Pomaretto onwards, the first part is a pleasant climb with some flat sections. So it possible to proceed quite fast up to Perrero. From there on, the climb increases in steepness and there are several sections exposed to the sun (quite hot).

From Pomeifré, the road passes on the other side of the mountain and there is more shade. The climb remains constant and then it flattens out a little after the area of the mines.

Arrived in Villa di Prali, at the top of the valley, the weather became quite cloudy. But no risk of rain. The water fountain in Ghigo di Prali is exceptionally fresh. Lunch at Bar delle Alpi right on the central plaza. Then I took some pictures of the view, the mountains and the village.
