Molè - 2020

Writer's picture: Davide DimacDavide Dimac

Cycling tour from Grugliasco to Molè. Hot day since early morning. Many cyclists on the roads, met especially in the flat segment at the beginning of the Val Susa. While during the ascent met many hikers with their backpacks.

Up to Bruzolo, made the usual ride along the Susa's ciclostrada. From Bruzolo the ascent begins, to be faced with calm since the first ramps.

From Chianocco, after turning left, the road descends and then climb again, but the slope is quite easy until Baritlera. From there on, a long straight starts with prohibitive slopes for a racing bike. A straight to be approached quite slowly and for which is good to use the entire width of the road. After that, a series of bends and you arrive at Molè.

Even if it is not marked on the maps, inside the village you can find a fresh water fountain where you can rest and eat a snack. Once rested, I resumed the climb up to Gottrus (shortly above). In this section, the road alternates plain sections and steeper climbs, all in the woods and therefore without panoramic viewpoints. Many trails for MTB and hiking.
