Col del Lys (by Lanzo) - 2020

Writer's picture: Davide DimacDavide Dimac

Cycling tour from Grugliasco to Col del Lys, climbing from Lanzo. Perfect day for an amazing bike ride. Almost no car traffic and lots of bicycles around, many also in groups, enjoying the beautiful day.

The fountain of Viù always has good and fresh water, but this year it has a low pressure and the water flows out very slowly. The climb from Viù to the top of the hill is mostly sheltered from the sun thanks to the woods. Met many cyclists on racing bikes on the way up.

Col del Lys was breezy, though the sun was hitting hard. The square was obviously full of parked cars and motorbikes, as every weekend with such a good weather.

Unlike the other years, I took some sandwiches from home and eat on the lawn nearby. I sunbathed and took a few pictures of the valley just climbed.
