Cycling tour from Grugliasco to Borgata Alpini. Day with very variable weather. Morning with a lot of clouds but not cold, sunny in few moments and a little wind in some sections. A bit of traffic entering in Val Susa (even if Sunday) and juts few cyclists around.
Quick break in Susa, to took off the heavier long jersey and then headed for the start of the climb. The first part of the ascent is immediately steep and tough, so need to be approached slowly and with a light gear. With the beginning of the hairpin, the slope then decreases slightly and remains almost constant up to the finish line. So it is essential to find a good cycling cadence right away.
Along the climb the road was very panoramic and almost all dry, even if the day before it had rained. Going up the temperature decreased slightly, although it was not cold. Just high humidity, almost drizzle.
Arrived at the top, a little sunshine came out for a short break and some photos of the mountains around. Then black clouds arrived from the Moncenisio area and had to get back on the saddle for the downhill. Cool descent even though dressed in several layers.
In Bussoleno it started to drizzle, little but steadily increasing. It was necessary to push as fast as possible to avoid the storm arriving behind me. Arrived at Chiusa di San Michele it then stopped and above Avigliana the sky was clear again. Quickly returned before the weather got worse.
