Cycling tour from Grugliasco to Aquila. Day with quite bad weather. It rained early in the morning and many dark clouds remained for the whole day. It didn't rain while I was cycling, but it was close more than one occasion.
From Rosta onwards, the roads were very wet as if it had just finished raining. The humidity was very high all day long. Arrived in Giaveno, took some water and then headed for the beginning of the climb in Pontepietra. From below it seemed that at the top of the mountain was still raining and there were low clouds.
Simple climb in the first part, then it gets very complicated when you get to Borgata Rul. From there onwards, the climb becomes rough and must be faced slowly and keeping enough energy for the final section after Prafieul.
On top found fog and a very cloudy weather. Couldn't see the sun nor the panorama down below. Sitting on the terrace of the restaurant, to rest and eat a snack. Beautiful descent, but to be done carefully when wet from the rain. Returning back from Giaveno, the weather improved in the afternoon and found several cyclists on the road for a ride.
